3D PATH at AI for Oncology 2026
The 3D PATH project was presented at the 4th edition of the AI for Oncology and Cancer Research conference in Milan through the participation of project partner Clepio Biotech.
During the conference, the team showcased the poster “A novel 3D tissue twin technology enabling new AI for precision medicine”, presenting the vision behind 3D PATH: advancing next-generation digital pathology through volumetric imaging and artificial intelligence.
The project aims to overcome the limitations of conventional 2D histopathology by generating high-resolution 3D digital tissue twins of intact biological samples. By combining light-sheet microscopy, advanced tissue processing, and AI-ready data architectures, 3D PATH seeks to create more realistic and reliable datasets for precision oncology.
The event provided an important opportunity to engage with the scientific and clinical community, foster new collaborations, and discuss the future role of 3D pathology and AI in personalized cancer treatment.
